Mission

Leave No Soldier Behind . . . at War and at Home

M38A1 Jeep United States – A humanitarian initiative to provide education, support and post traumatic stress resources to military soldiers and their families. Every Veteran has a Story. Sometimes it is the unseen psychological wounds that are the most devastating. Through the restoration of military vehicles . . . M38A1 Jeep United States helps veterans. They relate to the respectfully restored and preserved military vehicles and artifacts. To the war battled soldiers reuniting with these familiar vehicles, it is personal. It provides a safe environment. It is restorative. These hero soldiers talk about their long remembered stores of war. It can be the beginning of a restorative process of recovery.

Post Traumatic Stress  . . .  the invisible wounds of war. For many veterans the battle of PTS begins when returning home from the battlefield. Unlike physical wounds, these wounds don’t bleed. They remain invisible and unseen to other service members, to family members, and to their community. All these conditions affect mood, thoughts, and behavior; yet these psychological wounds often go unrecognized and unacknowledged.

How does the restorations of military vehicles help fight Post Traumatic Stress. It provides a common bond comprised of individuals, historians, vehicle preservationists, collectors, museum curators and fellow veterans interested in acquiring, restoring, displaying and enjoying historic military equipment. A veteran society, similar to the unbroken platoon camaraderie that only soldiers of war can understand. The not-for-profit M38A1 Jeep U.S. initiative participates in parades, veteran programs, school education, military museums, scouts, historic displays, re-enactments and local civic military & veteran events.  www.M38A1Jeep.us – @M38A1Jeep

The acquired and fully restored and preserved M38A1 Willys 1962 Jeep is a way to connect and bond with soldiers, veteran families, military organizations . . . and the dedicated individuals and veterans procuring and restoring these historic military vehicles.

“Leave No Soldier Behind ~ at War and at Home”

“The best day for me is when a veteran family member or child rides in my M38A1 Jeep during a military show, parade or veteran event while wearing my Nam field jacket or helmet.  A veteran family Jeep ride is restorative and forms a common bond”
